by Brian on February 9, 2008

Part 1

Part 2

Mushroom hunter, tent dweller, food fermenter, odd jobber and eco-expounder, Thomas has been living at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage for the past five years. In Life with Thomas, we get the chance to familiarize ourselves with one of the community’s unique denizens. Thomas shares his personal story and how he came to desire a more ecological lifestyle, inspired by life experiences and global environmental issues. He also gives us a cooking lesson, goes mushroom hunting, reflects upon his wigwam, and pursues other exciting daily activities at his home in Dancing Rabbit.

I can’t tell you how powerful watching this was. You, oh wonderful filmmaker, and you oh fabulous Thomas, are lights unto the world.

From the perspective of someone outside of DR it is so nourishing for me to be able to have a peek into DR this way. Life sustaining. Hope inspiring.

I love how simply Thomas talks about and embodies the most profound things.

I love how seamlessly the images of the film weave in with the verbal messages. I love the shot of the sparkling leaves.

Thank you!

Hi there Thomas – I have just come across your blog from a link of a link of a link…. and I am glad :-)

I like the message you are puting out there. I am focused on building some kind of EcoVillage (Healing Center where people can come and relax and JUST BE) here in my country.

Keep it up – it is worth it ;-)

Hello Rabbits,

I have been checking in on DR (web site, newsletter) periodically for a few years now. I come to see what has happened in the last season. I was surprised to find DRTV when I checked in this time and I love it! It adds a new dimension to my DR experience. I live vicariously through you rabbits until I can one day get into step where I belong. Keep up the great work. Spring has arrived. I wonder what is going on at DR now…???

Joe

p.s. Thomas, you are as cool as I thought you would be.

Loved it! We are planning a membership visit to a community and this was such an encouragement. Thanks.

Hey Thomas, thanks!

The simple message in your movie is profoundly powerful and hugely educational.

You clearly show how one can live simply and in harmony with life as it is.

Truly inspirational – Be blessed and keep smiling….
