On October 5-7, Dancing Rabbit celebrated its 10th anniversary and reunion, and rabbits present and past joined to commemorate and reminisce about the community. In this episode of DRTV, Tony and Cecil, two of the six original Dancing Rabbit co-founders reflect on the progress and growth of the ecovillage against the backdrop of the reunion celebrations and festivities. The land on which Dancing Rabbit is situated was originally purchased ten years ago, in October 1997, and since then it has come quite a ways since the days when the community was almost nothing more than a vision.

Nice to see the visuals of where things are at. Wish I could have come.
One detail comment: the caption names Cecil and Tony as “one of six original cofounders” - I count seven.
Cecil, Tony, Aaron, Halle, Star, RachelK, RachelF.
Actually, it’s trickier than that, since who you count depends on when you count. Allette Brooks? Robin Bandy? Trey Wedge? Craig Deforest? Dave and Fredi Hauri? I could go on….but i guess that just confirms what Tony said about how many people had a hand in this project.
Anyway, nice job.
Don’t know when I will make it back to visit, but I’m sure things will have progressed even farther when I do. Happy harvest!
Love,
RachelF
Wow! The video almost made me cry. I’m sure it was some trick of production.
I can’t express how incredible it is that there are people like you, even if it feels sometimes like you just fell into it. I wish I could have been there, but our hearts are always with you.

This video was great. I’ve been skimming over the website occasionally and reading the weekly emails, and it’s so great to get a visual of the community and especially this video showing a glimpse of the history. I really hope to visit! This is the type of community that I am looking for.
